Experimenting

I read on another blog about Windows Live Writer.  I decided to try it. So this post will be just trying things out.

So if I want to add a picture

Broad-tipped Clearwing macro (1)

I can do it.  I just have to figure out how I get it so I can have the print next to it rather than on top and bottom.

Yellow Longwing and Tree Nymph

I guess it is like this but something happened and I lost part of my picture.

Hmm  it seems to be reappearing every time I go to a new line.  That's strange.  But it works.

Now it will be interesting to see how it looks on the blog when I post it.

I'm glad to see you are testing this out... the more I use it the better I like it.
It has a 'view' button up on the menu bar. Click on that and you have several options. My defaul view is set for 'Web Layout'. You can click on 'Web Preview' and it will show you what your post will look like once you post it - click back to 'layout view' to continue editing. As long as you haven't pushed the 'publish' button - you can play with this as much as you like.
When you insert the picture you have some settings... Layout: lets you select the 'Text wrapping' (i.e. 'Left' pushes the picture to the left and wraps the text around it) and 'Margins' effect how much margin you have around the picture - which pushes your text away from the picture a little bit. This might fix the problem you had with text not being visable.
Go ahead and play - as long as you keep the document a 'DRAFT' you can play as much as you like.
